Ii em hotep

This my blog about my spiritual practices and religion. “Meryt Amentiu” means “beloved of the Westerners” or gods of the West (the land of the dead in ancient Egypt).
I’m a Shemset-Ankh in the Kemetic Orthodox faith, and it’s temple The House of Netjer. I was divined to be a Daughter of Aset-Serqet (Isis-Selket) and Beloved of Hethert-Sekhmet (Hathor-Sekhmet), Wesir (Osiris), and Yinepu-Wepwawet (Anubis-Wepwawet). Later on, I founds that I had two more Beloveds: Nut, and most recently Nebthet-Nit-Seshat (Nephthys-Nit-Seshat).
If you’re not familiar with our practices, you’re probably wondering “Daughter of? Beloved of? What the hell?! or “Why are those gods hyphenated? Why are the names so odd looking? I will get to the part about divination (at some point), and you can read up on the Names of Netjer here. This site is about me, not the Kemetic Orthodox faith…there’s already a couple of sites that go into detail about the House of Netjer and Kemetic Orthodoxy.
